I am writing my critique about Indre’s work. I love the vibrant colors Indre uses her in piece. She uses warm and cool colors and it works. It looks like she used a paint brush tool to create very loose, squiggly lines. The lines are very directional, and move the viewer’s eyes throughout the piece.
Her color choice creates this sort of symmetry and it balances out the entire piece. On one side are cool colors, and on the other are warm colors. When I look at her work I see nature, possibly trees. I also see depth. With the lines she has created linear perspective, specifically one-point perspective.
Overall, I really love Indre’s piece. She created this beautiful, messy abstract art, but it is well organized through line and color. By using a simple paint brush tool, I believe, she has created art that moves the viewers eye through her art, and gives you an image that lets you come up with your own interpretation. I would love to know what her process was.
